Kate had a logo in place already, and a color palette in mind. She wanted a calming site that allowed her large amount of explanatory text to be displayed in a way that wasn't visually overwhelming. She also wanted to put her customers at ease by having testimonials on every page to help folks read, in the words of their peers, the ways in which her services were able to impact their lives.
By listening closely to Kate, we were able to quickly and affordably create a custom website that incorporated both her logo and desired color palette. To create warmth, we used large blocks of solid color, but broke it up with lighter colors and plenty of whitespace to allow the content room to breathe.
We used a common footer placement for the testimonials to allow folks to notice and read them at their leisure, incorporating a slick lightbox effect to pop open the full list of testimonials from her clients.
